Supporting Infrastructure

To support the massive remote power station and mining operation, a comprehensive suite of utility, industrial, and social infrastructure was developed directly on site, ensuring completely self-sufficient operations.

Supporting Infrastructure Components:

  • Water Supply: 9 deep water wells drilled on site supply up to 4 million cubic meters of water annually, optimized using dry cooling and active recycling systems to minimize national water stress
  • Social Facilities: A modern on-site housing camp accommodates 650 full-time operational employees, complete with healthcare, catering, and social spaces
  • Explosives Storage: A dedicated, secure on-site explosive magazine and mining support camp
  • National Grid Export: A high-voltage double-circuit 400kV overhead transmission line connects the plant from NEPCO Attarat substation to NEPCO Queen Alia substation, supplying up to ~17% of Jordan's electricity demand
