Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

APCO interacts with and support the local community at Um Al Rassas to ensure the development of a mutually beneficial and sustainable relationship. APCO has, from the start of the Project, appointed a local resident as its Community Liaison Officer (CLO) to reach out to and bridge the local community.

APCO’s CSR initiative aims to make a positive impact to the local community, including :-

⦁ Supporting schools and NGOs;
⦁ Building recreational and sports facilities for the children & youth;
⦁ Distributing food hampers to the needy at festive season;
⦁ Providing skills training for the youths; and
⦁ Supporting economic activities for local enterprise.

Companies and enterprises from local community have been engaged to provide various services for the project including water truck services, earth moving works, dedusting works, clinic services, landscaping works and waste disposal.
The Attarat companies have directly employed 300 Jordanians and with more than 200 from the local community involved in the Project.
